What is it?
The Gold Standard for lifting, Ultherapy Prime is an advanced, non-surgical skin tightening and lifting treatment that uses real-time ultrasound visualisation to allow the practitioner to see exactly where treatment is needed. Ultherapy Prime targets the muscular layer of the face without damaging the surface, lifting and sculpting the face, neck and décolletage. A single treatment is usually all that is required, with minimal downtime and results that can last up to a year or more.

How does it work?
Ultherapy Prime is a method of skin tightening that helps produce firmer, smoother skin without the need for painful, down-time heavy surgeries such as facelifts. Ultherapy Prime acts as a stimulant for the production of collagen, a protein made by the skin that keeps it firm, taut and healthy. An ultrasound gel is placed on the treatment area where short pulses of energy are introduced when the correct layer is visualised under Ultrasound. These ultrasound waves travel deep into the skin and heat up cells, forcing the body to repair them. In doing so, collagen production increases and skin is rejuvenated over the following months.
Depending on your particular skin concern, it may be necessary to go over the same area more than once. This is to ensure the ultrasound waves penetrate at different depths. Note that these waves work deep in the skin and leave the surface layer untouched.
How long does it last?
You may feel an immediate tightening effect but this increases over time as collagen production is upregulated over the coming months. Most patients notice a difference after three to six months, with results lasting for up to 18 months. Ultherapy Prime doesn’t demand any downtime but you might find that your skin is a little red or swollen immediately after treatment.
